The purpose of the Strategy Research Foundation is to support and advance scholarship in the field of strategic management. The core activity of the SRF is the operation of competitive research grant programs.

Research in Organizations (RiO) Program
After a comprehensive review by the Research Committee of the SMS Board of Directors, a decision was made to discontinue the RiO program. The Strategy Research Foundation and the SMS are honored to have had the opportunity to support the ground-breaking research of previous RiO recipients and look forward to announcing new grant programs available for SMS members in the near future.
